Founded in 1998 by Joop van den Ende, Stage Entertainment is one of the world’s largest theatrical producers with bases in the UK, the Netherlands, Germany, Spain, France, Russia, Italy and the USA, and the owner of thirty venues across those countries.
Headed by Rebecca Quigley, Stage Entertainment’s London team currently produce Sister Act at the Broadway Theatre in New York and on UK tour, the UK and Ireland tour of Oliver!, in partnership with Cameron Mackintosh Ltd, the annual national arena tour of Strictly Come Dancing Live!, the 2013 UK and Ireland tour of Hairspray, and in the West End the critically acclaimed Singin’ in the Rain at the Palace Theatre.
The company’s previous UK credits include the multi-award winning Hairspray at the Shaftesbury Theatre (current record holder for most Laurence Olivier Award nominations ever) and UK tour, The Ladykillers at the Gielgud Theatre, in partnership with Edward Snape, Sister Act at the London Palladium, Strictly Come Dancing Live! UK arena tours, Disney’s High School Musical 1 & 2 at Hammersmith Apollo and UK tours, Fame at the Shaftesbury Theatre and UK tours, The Full Monty at the Prince of Wales and UK tour, Contact at the Queen’s Theatre, Blue Man Group at the New London Theatre and Tommy at the Shaftesbury Theatre.
Future projects include a major new musical based on hit British film, Made In Dagenham, in partnership with Number 9 films.
The parent company, Stage Entertainment, was founded by Joop van den Ende in 1998 and has become a market leader in live entertainment, employing over 4000 people worldwide.
